Nell'anno 33075 dell'era Fogu (1999 AD), l'Imperatore Burdo progetta di espandere il suo impero, mediante la conquista di un sistema solare a 10 pianeti, inferiore per cultura e tecnologia, ma ricco di risorse naturali e futuri schiavi. L'impresa, fallita da suo padre 50 anni prima, stavolta dovrà avere successo.
Nel 2011, la sonda NASA-Vaticano Messenger-1 scopre dei manufatti alieni sul pianeta Mercurio e viene improvvisamente distrutta da un'arma sconosciuta. Il Presidente degli Stati uniti, Arnold Schwarzenegger, convoca una riunione d'urgenza di un misterioso gruppo di potenti politicanti di tutto il mondo, di cui lui stesso fa parte, chiamato GNOSIS®. La minaccia aliena, sulla quale tutti sembrano stranamente saperla assai lunga, richiede una risposta immediata e risoluta.
Due anni dopo, il braccio armato di GNOSIS, Base Talo®, è una realtà. Il comando, situato nel sottosuolo della Sardegna centrale, sotto il più alto grado di segretezza NATO, è pronto ad accogliere l'invasore alieno come si merita. In 2011 AD, the NASA-Vatican probe Messenger-1 discovers alien artifacts on planet Mercury and is suddenly shot down by an unknown weapon. US President Arnold Schwarzenegger convokes a meeting of a mysterious fraternity of mighty politicians from all the world, named GNOSIS®. The alien menace, about which everyone seems to know more than they want to show, requires immediate and determined reply.
Two years later, the military wing of GNOSIS, named Talo Base®, is ready to action. The headquarters, located in the deep subsoil of central Sardinia, under NATO most classified rank, is prepared to welcome the alien invaders like they deserve. In the core of the facility roars the most advanced war machine humanity has ever built, the giant robot GAURRU-Z!
